2023 Fundraiser Event Recap

SC SoundBites was delighted to host their yearly fundraising event, where they had the honor of welcoming Josh Turner, a renowned country music icon from South Carolina. The event took place at 300 Senate in Downtown Columbia and was graced by the presence of distinguished figures including SC Governor Henry McMaster and his wife, Peggy McMaster, SC Attorney General Alan Wilson, and Superintendent of Education Ellen Weaver.

This year's fundraiser achieved remarkable success in gathering funds, enabling the foundation to extend support by providing musical instruments and financial aid to students across South Carolina. Each year, the event showcases a notable South Carolinian who has excelled using their talents and represented the state admirably in their career. Josh Turner, with his illustrious career, stands as a prime example, and South Carolina is fortunate to have him representing their talent and dedication.

2020 SoundBites Event featuring Edwin McCain

The 4th Annual SoundBites event was held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the beautiful South Carolina Governor’s Mansion - poolside to allow for social distancing. The pandemic may have required a scaled-down event, but what an event it was featuring acclaimed South Carolina singer-songwriter Edwin McCain! Edwin was accompanied on stage by our 2019 featured South Carolina artist, Patrick Davis, who also introduced attendees to the incredible Lauren Jenkins from Nashville, TN.

It was a night to remember, thanks to our rock star sponsors OVATION TV (America’s only Arts Network), Charter Communications, Dominion Energy, Election Systems & Software, the South Carolina Cable Television Association, and the South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association.

Our sponsors and each person who donates to the SoundBites mission ensure it is possible for us to continue providing instruments and making a difference in the lives of amazing young South Carolina artists!
